As some of you may have noticed, there has been a good deal of
surveying going on around Main Street lately. It is all part of the
Marshall Transportation Enhancement Project. The goal of the project
is to restore and enhance Main Street by making the sidewalks more user
friendly, improving access to businesses, improving storm drainage, planting vegetation, and burying the overhead power and telephone
lines.
To keep everyone informed as to what we hope to achieve and the
progress toward the goals, the contractor is tasked to conduct several
community meetings, the first of which was held in mid-September 2010.
